TARNEIT TOWERS DEVELOPMENT

Project Type

MIXED USE COMMERCIAL

Date

2018-2021

Location

Tarneit, Victoria

The Tarneit Towers Development:
Tarneit Towers reimagines the precinct around Tarneit Station as a genuine destination — not just a place people pass through, but a connected, walkable community where people can live, work, eat and access services without needing a car. Rather than a commuter stop people pass through on the way elsewhere, the project reimagines the station precinct as an activity Centre in its own right — accessible by rail, bus, car, bicycle and on foot, and anchored by employment, services and community life. The project delivers a mixed-use interface on the south side of the station, integrating residential, commercial, medical, retail and educational uses within a five-minute walk of the platform.
Designed as a benchmark for higher-density development in Melbourne's western growth corridor, Tarneit Towers responds directly to the City of Wyndham's growing and diverse population. A range of housing types sits alongside office, medical and training facilities — generating over 1,000 local jobs and reducing the need for residents to commute to the CBD.
Sustainability is embedded throughout. Energy-efficient buildings, integrated solar generation, electric car-sharing and smart infrastructure make Tarneit Towers as forward-thinking as it is livable. The iconic corner hotel anchors the precinct as a landmark — the first piece of place-making to give Tarneit a distinct identity of its own.
