Burwood Heights Primary School Outdoor Playspace involved the design and delivery of a new outdoor learning and play environment supporting inclusive, active and imaginative play within the school grounds.
Design Core Architects developed a vibrant and engaging outdoor space that responds to the needs of a growing school community while encouraging physical activity, creativity and social interaction. The upgraded playground accommodates a range of play experiences including climbing, balance and sensory-based activities within a safe and well-supervised environment.
Integrated shade structures, clear sightlines and flexible outdoor learning areas support comfort, accessibility and year-round usability. The completed playspace contributes to student wellbeing and strengthens everyday learning through play and outdoor connection.
