GLENROY SPECIALST SCHOOL

Glenroy Specialist School is located at 208 Hilton street, Glenroy.
Design Core Architects designed and delivered Glenroy Specialist School, one of Australia’s largest specialist education facilities supporting students with complex physical and sensory disabilities. The project formed part of a significant government investment to create a purpose-built learning environment centered on accessibility, wellbeing and inclusive education.

The facility incorporates specialist learning, therapy and multi-sensory spaces, with classrooms connected directly to personal care areas and organised across junior, middle and senior learning communities. A key feature of the project is the integrated ceiling hoist network, enabling safe and dignified movement between classrooms, therapy and personal care spaces for students requiring high physical support.

Dedicated physiotherapy, occupational therapy and hydrotherapy facilities, together with library, music, art and technology spaces, support a holistic environment designed to promote independence, mobility and connection for students, staff and the wider school community.
